St Mary’s has a representative on the Loughborough Committee of Christian Aid, the Ecumenical Overseas Development Charity. The role of the representative is to involve St Mary’s parishioners with Christian Aid activities in Loughborough and to help promote good ecumenical relationships within the town.
St Mary’s is responsible for the collection of donations from about 20 streets in Loughborough during the annual Christian Aid Week collection in May. Once a year we host the simple monthly lunch that rotates from church to church.
There are no regular meetings, but volunteers are needed to help with the house-to-house collections in May.
