PALM SUNDAY OF THE PASSION OF THE LORD
Today’s liturgical celebration of PASSION (PALM) SUNDAY marks the beginning of the holiest week in the Christian Year. We will read of the last events of Jesus’ life: we will recall his journey into Jerusalem, the Last Supper with his disciples in the Upper Room, the Mount of Olives, his death on the cross and we will also remember how the disciples struggled to be faithful to the Lord.
Let us make this week holy by setting aside time to recall all that Christ underwent for our salvation. Let us participate in the beautiful yet poignant liturgies so as to strengthen our faith and support one another in our Christian vocations. Let us pray for the grace to be authentic modern-day disciples and faithful witnesses to him who is Our Lord and Saviour.
