We welcome Don Vito Nardin to St Mary’s, Loughborough

Don Vito Nardin was born on 29th August 1945 at Faver (TN), very near to the birthplace of Blessed Antonio Rosmini.  He came to know the Rosminians as an aspirant and then entered the novitiate in 1960.  Following final vows in 1967, he was ordained priest in June 1972 in his home town.  Recognised by many who know him as a humble and saintly man, he is well versed in the Rosminian Charism and spirituality and has a wonderful gift of accompanying and inspiring young people.

Don Vito has been parish priest in Santa Ninfa (TP – Sicily) and Santo Spirito (EUR Rome); He was Provincial Superior of the Rosminians in Italy and from 2003 was based at the Sacro Monte Calvario as Rector, Director of the Oscellana Rivista, the Rosminian Charitas Bollettino, as well as being heavily involved in various Groups and Organisations.

On Thursday 21st March 2013, during the General Chapter held at Calvario near Domodossola, Don Vito Nardin was elected Father General of the Institute of Charity, so succeeding Fr. Jim Flynn.
