Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC)

SPUC is a national organisation which works to protect human life from conception to natural death. We are particularly concerned with:

  • Abortion of unborn babies
  • Research on human embryos
  • Euthanasia

We work to educate and inform people about what is happening locally, eg 3000 babies were aborted at Leicester Hospital last year alone; nationally, eg the clamour  for experimentation on human foetuses is becoming more aggressive; and world wide, eg aid from the West to Developing countries is being increasingly tied to programmes for abortion and gay marriage endorsement

Loughborough branch committee meets at St Mary’s.

If you are not a member and would like to join or would like to become a branch committee member (ie an activist) please get in touch with via St Mary’s parish office (01509 262123).
