Year 6 Parents: Don’t Miss the Secondary School Application Deadline. If your child wasborn between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016 he or she will be starting Year 7 inSeptember 2027. You must apply for a secondary school place through your home LocalAuthority by Sunday 31st October. If you would like your child to be considered for a Catholicschool under a Catholic faith admission criterion, there is an additional step:✅ Complete the school’s Supplementary Information Form (SIF).✅ Send the completed SIF directly to the school.✅ Send the required supporting evidence (for example, a copy of your child’s Baptismcertificate) directly to the school.The Supplementary Information Form and supporting evidence must be sent to the school, notto the Local Authority. The Local Authority application and the school’s SupplementaryInformation Form are separate processes. Both must be completed by the deadline if you wishyour child to be considered under the school’s faith-based admissions criteria. If the schooldoes not receive the Supplementary Information Form and supporting evidence by thedeadline, your child may be placed in a lower admissions category, which could affect theirchance of securing a place. If you do not have a copy of your child’s Baptism certificate, contactthe parish where your child was baptised as soon as possible to request a replacement.
